North Korea rejects offer of talks with US
North Korea has angrily rejected an offer of talks with the United States made by President George W Bush during his visit to Seoul this week. In the first official response to Mr Bush's offer, the North has accused him of maintaining a policy aimed at stifling and slandering the communist country. While offering dialogue with President Kim Jong Il in Seoul, Mr Bush did not back down from his accusation that North Korea constitutes an "axis of evil" with Iran and Iraq. North Korea says the President's remarks are an insult to the feelings of the Korean people.
