Clinton says visit good for Sino-American relations
Former American President Bill Clinton says the recent visit to China by his successor, George W. Bush has been good for Sino-American relations.
Mr Clinton was addressing hundreds of delegates at an international conference in Sydney on the Peaceful Reunification of China and World Peace.
The former President says the strain on the relationship between the two countries over the spy plane incident has been resolved and Mr Bush's recent visit seems to have had positive benefits.
"For the Chinese American relationships we should think this is positive. One of the things I hope will happen is that the Chinese Government will be able to take the momentum of this trip along with President Kim De Jung in South Korea and try to find a way to get this Korean issue back on the track ... towards ending the Korean missile program."
