A fire is reportedly raging at a natural gas field belonging to U.S. energy giant Exxon Mobil in Indonesia's Aceh province after it was attacked by rebels,
The state Antara news agency reports a grenade thrown by separatists exploded near a gas extraction installation in Lhoksukon, about 1,700 kilometers northwest of Jakarta, setting it on fire.
Damage to the extraction and processing installations appeared to be extensive.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Last month, Exxon Mobil suspended pumping natural gas in Aceh amid battles between security forces guarding the facility and the insurgents. The company's foreign and local staff were evacuated.
