Two killed, 10 injured as Vietnam's main intercity express derails
A railway accident involving Vietnam's main intercity express has left two people dead and 10 others injured.
Rail officials say the accident occurred when the train's locomotive and front three coaches derailed.
No foreigners were among the casualties when the overnight express making the 17-hundred kilometre journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi derailed in the central province of Quang Ngai.
Those killed were the train driver and chief steward.
A total of 538 people were aboard the train at the time of the accident which disrupted services on Vietnam's trunk rail route for most of the day.
