North Korea rejects U-S talks
North Korea has rejected a fresh U-S call for dialogue, demanding an apology from President George W. Bush for comments he made about leader Kim Jong-Il.
Mr Bush last week criticized Kim Jong Il for failing to open up North Korea to foreign aid and further talks.
He also accused Kim of being suspicious and secretive.
His comments come after a direct appeal to Kim Jong-Il to re-open a stalled dialogue with South Korea and the United States, and to keep the terms of a 2000 deal with Seoul aimed at easing tensions.
Washington says it continues to hope that Pyongyang will accept its offer of more talks.
