Pakistan says it will round up Afghan's and return them to homeland

Pakistan says it will round up Afghans living in its cities and send them to refugee camps, as a new interim government in Afghanistan will pave the way for their return to their homeland.

After 22 years of war in Afghanistan, about three million Afghans live in Pakistan.

Pakistan gave no details of its move, which was likely to create chaos in the country's Afghan community.

Refugee official Naeem Khan said more than 600-thousand unregistered Afghans live in cities in the Northwestern Frontier Province alone, adding that many of them live in affluent areas.
